During arrival and dismissal, the safety of the children is our top priority. All parents, grandparents, and others on the approved list to transport VCA children must obey traffic laws and be especially protective of the children in the parking lot. Please carefully read the information on this page about our arrival and dismissal policy.

Arrival
Children attending VCA must be signed in and out every day. Parents must park in designated parking spaces and hold their child's hand in the parking lot. Upon entering the building, parents must sign in their child. After signing in, parents must walk their child to the classroom.
In the classroom, parents are asked to please assist their child in putting clothing items and homework away and then to review teacher notes posted on the classroom door or Parent Board.
Siblings and other children who do not attend VCA must remain in the Reception Area.
Dismissal
During dismissal, parents must park in designated parking areas. Children are to be signed out before being picked up from their classrooms. Siblings and children who do not attend VCA must remain in the Reception Area.
In the classroom, parents must check their child’s cubby for soiled clothing, soiled linens, and notes from the teacher.
Parents must hold their child's hand while crossing the parking lot.
